2023
Volunteers clear invasive Autumn Olive from north side of Celery Farm.
Fall
2023
Volunteers clear Autumn Olive and Asiatic Bittersweet from the west side of Farm to prepare for native Pollinator Meadow.
Winter
2024
Volunteers clear Asiatic Bittersweet from southeast corner and begin Phragmites removal from west side.
Spring
2024
Native Plant Garden established on east side and protective deer fencing installed. 1,000 herbaceous and perennial native wildflowers planted. Pollinator Meadow planted with mountain mint.
Summer
2024
Water, weed, mulch, and shade the Native Plant "Nursery" Garden. Invasive mugwort removal from the Green Way Meadow. Weed control with a string trimmer at the Pollinator Meadow
Fall
2024
Phragmites removal begins on the north side and 60 native shrubs planted. 500 additional plants installed in Native Plant Garden. Pollinator Meadow planting of 9 native wildflower species.
Winter
2025
Asiatic Bittersweet removed from mature Dogwood trees on north side and Phragmites removal continues along west side.
Spring
2025
More than 1,400 native herbaceous "plugs" planted in the vicinity of Kickapoo Corner alongside the trail where the Phragmites have been cut back on the west side of the Celery Farm
Fall
2025
Cleared invasive mugwort, porcelain berry, and mile-a-minute from a 12,050 sq ft area of the Green Way meadow, covered the site with wood chips, and planted 3,600 native flower and grass "plugs" with work done on 30 dates over 9 weeks by 63 volunteers totalling 1,085 hours.
